Beautiful Romance takes on dual Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe heroine Treve in the Group One Qatar Prix Vermeille over a mile and a half at Longchamp, France, on Sunday, September 13.

The three-year-old New Approach filly, trained by Saeed bin Suroor, steps back up in class following an impressive victory over half a furlong shorter in the Listed Sri Lanka August Stakes on soft ground at Windsor on August 29.

She trailed home last in the 10-furlong Group Three Group Three Prix de Psyche at Deauville on August 1 but ran a better race to finish third on her only other appearance this year in the Group Three Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes over seven furlongs art Newmarket on April 15.

Beautiful Romance gained a comprehensive nine-length success on her debut in a mile maiden at Doncaster in October.

Saeed bin Suroor said: "Beautiful Romance won well at Windsor and the ground was soft that day, which is important to her.

"This is a very tough contest but she deserves a chance at a big race, although softer going would help."

William Buick for the first time partners Beautiful Romance, who takes on eight rivals headed by Treve, Juddmonte International winner Arabian Queen and Pretty Polly Stakes scorer Diamondsandrubies.

Mezzo Soprano captured the Prix Vermeille for Godolphin in 2003.
