Best Solution has all the answers at Newbury

Best Solution capitalised on a drop down to G3 level with a decisive victory the St Simon Stakes over a mile and a half at Newbury, UK, on Saturday, October 28.
The three-year-old colt, trained by Saeed bin Suroor and ridden by Pat Cosgrave, raced in a close third of the 11 runners early on before moving up to second behind Frontiersman (Charlie Appleby/James Doyle) after the first quarter-mile.
Best Solution cruised up to take the lead passing the two-furlong pole and soon opened up a clear advantage, staying on strongly to score by a length and three-quarters over Raheen House in 2m 40.68s on soft ground.
Saeed bin Suroor commented: “Everything was perfect for Best Solution today - racing over 12 furlongs on soft ground - and he won well.
“We have no immediate plans but taking him out to Dubai is an option.”
Pat Cosgrave added: “Best Solution won a Derby trial earlier in the season and then ran in the Derby. The Derby is obviously always a very tough race and the ground went against him, it was too quick.
“He has been campaigned at a high level this season and is a grand horse to have around. The ground is the key to him and he loved the conditions today.”
