Prix Edmond Blanc third for Jimmy Two Times

Jimmy Two Times finished third in the G3 Prix Edmond Blanc at Saint-Cloud, France, on Monday, 2 April on his first start since May last year.
The five-year-old horse, who won the mile race last year, raced in fifth of the eight runners under Mickael Barzalona as Stormy Antarctic had a clear lead.
He moved up to fourth turning in and remained in the main middle of the course group in the straight where Stormy Antarctic came over to race near the stands’ rail and two others kept on the far rail.
Jimmy Two Times went second in his group and then led it with two furlongs to go before being headed by Nice To See You in the closing stages.
Stormy Antarctic held on to win by a length, with a half-length between Nice To See You and Jimmy Two Times. The winning time was 1m 48.48s on very heavy turf.
Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin said: “Jimmy Two Times has run a good race after an 11-month absence. It was a very encouraging performance.
“He had some minor surgery in December and had not been back in work that long, so it was just good to get him back on the track.
“We still need to find out if his best trip is a mile or whether we should drop him back in distance.
“We will see how he comes out of this race and, if all is well, we could go for the G2 Prix du Muguet back here at Saint-Cloud over a mile in May, which he won last year.”
